Pinterest is introducing new features that allow users to earn money. One of the ways to do so is via affiliate links. Users can now turn their idea pins into clickable retail pins. When other users purchase a tagged item after clicking on the pin, the user who made the idea pin would earn a commission.
Pinterest users can tag pins with any product available on the site. According to online sportsbook software experts, most users are likely to shop for items tagged in pins. Also, the micro-blogging site reported that engagement with idea pins is higher than standard pins.
The micro-blogging platform introduced Idea Pins last May. It is available for people with a business account in the US, Australia, UK, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and France. Ida pins behave like story pins. However, idea pins don’t disappear after a specific period.
Users to Earn Money via Affiliate Links
Idea pins can be video records for a maximum of 20 pages of content. Also, you can record your voice to add a personal touch. Pinterest allows you to add music from Epidemic Sound. It also provides transition tools for the videos.
Pinterest users can see idea pins from various creators they follow at the top of the home feed. Also, they will see idea pins in search results, creator’s profiles, and the Today tab. Creators can control the affiliate links by choosing the tags in the pins.
Like other affiliate commission programs, creators can highlight their brand partnerships through Pinterest. Also, creators can disclose their paid partnerships via paid sponsorship tools. The platform is launching the Idea Pins feature to all business accounts in the UK and US. In addition, it would roll out the feature to more countries in the next couple of months. Some countries that would receive the affiliate feature include Canada, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, and more.
